PostUse this song with the STOP skill to curb impulsive behaviors.

The song we’re featuring this week takes us back to the 1990s and the Spice Girls. Their hit “Wanna Be” probably pops into your head. While that is an excellent song for another skill, we are going to use the song “STOP” today for, you guessed it,  the STOP skill.

Pretty clear title! Not only is it easy to connect the title with the STOP skill, the “Stop” song itself shows all the elements in the STOP skill.

The STOP skill is an acronym which stands for:

S- Stop

T- Take a step back

O- Observe

P- Proceed mindfully

The lyrics of this Spice Girls Stop song line up well for learning the STOP skill. Give this a try and let us know how it goes for using the STOP skill in your practice and in your life.

Wishing you a fabulous Musical Monday!
