DBT = Dialectical Behavior Therapy

What is DBT?  Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an effective evidence-based treatment model created by Dr. Marsha Linehan, that uses skills training in the areas of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness, to “change behavioral, emotional, thinking, and interpersonal patterns associated with problems in living” (Linehan 2015) and can enhance the lives of all.
